The Flash Forward Festival would not be possible without the enabling support and encouragement of many individuals and businesses. Along with Presenting Sponsor TD Bank, the Official Sponsors listed below heard our call and responded with the man-hours, expertise, venues and resources necessary to realize our vision. We cannot thank them enough for their generosity.

As a founding sponsor of Flash Forward, TD Bank Group has been very proud to support The Magenta Foundation in its development and achievement of a truly world-class Emerging Artists Program.

Magenta has made incredible inroads with its ability to bring global recognition to so many talented young photographers from Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States for more than a decade. The Flash Forward competition has provided young photographers the opportunity to visually express their innovation and creative ideas in print to an everincreasing and engaged arts community. With annual exhibitions in Toronto, a flourishing Flash Forward Festival in Boston each spring, and exhibitions in the U.K., Flash Forward has delivered remarkable results, fuelling the profile of all the artists in the program.

Each year, the competition generates even more distinctive and striking images for the international photography audience. In addition to personal collections, we know that Flash Forward photographers and their images are also in high demand for charitable art auctions and public displays. I am extremely proud to say that we have added several images to the bank’s own corporate art collection.

As a North American bank with a presence in the U.K., TD remains committed to supporting Magenta by creating a unique opportunity for young people from Canada, the U.K. and the U.S. to develop and achieve their full potential. It is our firm belief that competitions like Flash Forward will help inspire the next generation of artists in the continuing quest to build a thriving visual-arts community.
