Stephen Mayes takes an optimistic look at the opportunities facing photographers as we move into the second decade of the 21st Century. Digital technology has changed the process of production, distribution and even the meaning of the photographic image, and as every professional has noticed it has changed the structure of our business. While the old models of business are in crisis, tantalizing opportunities lie ahead, requiring us to redefine our business structures as radically as technology has redefined the medium. This talk will explore some of the new business concepts available to enterprising artists along with examples of how to transition into a new photographic practice.
